Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal has evolved

You can get rid of your hair faster and more comfortably than ever before.
You’ll wonder why you didn’t start laser treatments sooner.

How does Evolution Ice Laser Hair Removal work?

The laser is passed over the skin and emits light. The pigment in your hair (called melanin) absorbs the light and causes a heating effect. The heat spreads through the follicle and kills the cells which are responsible for growing new hairs.

What happens during the treatment?

In order to laser the area it needs to be shaved before your treatment. You can do this the night before. We then apply laser gel on the skin and pass the laser hand piece over the area in sweeping motions or stripes until all of the area is covered.

What does a laser treatment feel like?

The treatment feels like a warming sensation or a prickle. Since Evolution Ice is a new generationdiode laser it’s much less painful than traditional lasers. Most clients say it’s a very comfortable experience, with moderate discomfort in more sensitive areas.

How long does it take?

It’s a fairly quick procedure. For example a small area of the face will take just 5-10 minutes, an underarms treatment 15 minutes, and full legs or full back 40-50 minutes.

Which areas can you have treated?

We can laser virtually any area of the face or body. Similar to waxing, as long as we can reach it, and make contact with the laser head, we can treat it. Commonly treated areas for women include:
Lip, chin, full face, underarms, bikini (all hair removed, just the sides or anything in-between), legs, arms, chest, nipples, naval, bottom, hands, feet, fingers, toes.
It’s also a popular treatment for men. Areas include:
Face, above and below beard line, back, neck, shoulders, chest, stomach, underarms, arms, legs, bottom, male bikini, hands & feet.

What are the side-effects?

The skin may be red immediately after treatment and the hair follicles may be swollen and bumpy, similar to after waxing. Any redness usually goes within a few hours.
Unwanted reactions are rare but may include a small blister or temporary lightening or darkening of the skin. To reduce the risk of side effects it’s important to wear SPF for 4 weeks before and after your treatment.

How many sessions will
you need?

You will need a course of treatments as only a proportion of the hair is destroyed on each treatment. This is because all hair grows in 3 phases and needs to be in the correct phase for it to work.
Expect 6-8 sessions, to achieve a reduction of approximately 70-90% of normal hair growth. We recommend opting for 6 sessions to start with, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

How much is it?

It’s more affordable than you think.
In fact over the course of your adult life you will save money having laser compared with having waxing!

What do you do now?

Book a no-obligation consultation with us and we’ll assess the areas where you want to reduce hair. You will fill in a consultation form, we’ll check your suitability and give you a price. At this point if suitable, we can also carry out a small test patch to determine your reaction to the laser, and you can feel the treatment.
Once that is complete you’re free to go ahead and start the treatment a few days later.
